Praise Your Name Forever - About the Song

About the Song
Praise Your Name Forever with Elisha Chernoff

Over the last year, I have been on a incredible journey of many ups and downs,
incredible opportunities as well as incredible disappointments. I have formed
incredible new relationships that have changed my life.

What I have learned in the midst of everything is God is always there.

God is there in our successes and our failures, in our triumphs and there when we fall.
In our hurts, and our joy. He is always there.

Over the last year, in my home group where I go to church, there were quite a few families
that were facing some of life's challenges. We saw several families face losing their home,
as well as a precious Mom lose her son, and a friend who went in the hospital for tumors.

My wife and I had our own financial challenges.

In the midst of everything, God was always there.

At my church, I heard one of our teachers preach on Joseph. He preached that God wasn't so
concerned about Joseph's destination as he was that God wanted Joseph to know that
He was always there.

I found this to be so true. God's way more concerned about our hearts, knowing him and that he is always there versus the destiny He has for us.

The destiny he has for us is great. God says he has a plan for us to prosper us not to harm us, which is awesome! But the destiny He has for our hearts is even greater. God wants us to go deeper.

That's what this new song is about. We didn't write it to be radio hit or even the best song we could ever write. We wrote it because it tells a real story and it's about real life.

What I realized is that also no matter what we go through, there are major blessings that God gives us everyday. When I see my son with a smile on his face, or a hug from my wife, relationships at my church, or my health. There is so much we have to be thankful for.

The second verse touches on this hope.

We have an acoustic video we will be releasing Spring or Summer of 2015.

Through the storms and raging seas
You are always there for me
Through the trials and the pain.
I will bless your Name

I will praise your name forever
In your presence I am undone
I will praise your name forever
Oh God let heaven come

Through the Blessings that never change
Your favor rests on me
Through the triumphs that come my way
I will bless your name

I will praise your name forever
In your presence I am undone
I will praise your name forever
Oh God let heaven come

Let Your Glory Let Your power come. Yahweh
Let Your Glory Let Your power come. Yahweh
Let Your Glory Let your power
Let Your Glory Let your power come Yahweh Yahweh

I will praise your name forever
In your presence I am undone
I will praise your name forever
Oh God let heaven come

With this highly-anticipated, 12-song effort, which released on August 7, 2012 from City of Peace Media/Sony Provident, House of Peace partnered with Dove Award winning producer Ed Cash and the project includes an array of other outstanding artists, who all have a common goal to share God’s heart for Israel.

"House of Peace has a heart for Israel, as well as the body of Christ to encourage Christians to reach the lost," said House of Peace band member, David Liscum. "Ultimately, we desire to exalt God through our music and ministry."

Breathecast reviewer Neshell Hogan said, " ‘King of the Universe,’ performed by worship artist House of Peace, symbolizes the beauty, majesty, and divine nature of God. This track has very powerful lyrics that are straight to the point and paint a vivid picture of worship for the listener. It takes us on a journey of how the singer finds God's presence in everything from the oceans to the rain and is awed by His greatness. Once you really get a grasp on the lyrics as a whole, it is a very humbling experience and reminder of God's wonder."

House of Peace’s influences range from Chris Tomlin, IHOP, Bethel, Coldplay, Harbour Live, and Andrew Ehrenzeller, among others. The band’s songs and their messages offer the hope of Christ to a lost and dying world.

"King of the Universe," produced by Ed Cash is currently receiving multiple adds and rotations from radio stations across the country and abroad. House of Peace is also making a strong impression with music retailers.

King of the Universe - Song - Lyrics

King of the Universe - House of Peace

I look up in the sky and see Your everlasting Beauty
I walk along the shores and see waves of mercy waves of mercy
I sit in the rain and feel Your presence and Your truth revealed

Your creation longs for Your return, Your return

You bring forth the bread You bring forth the wine
Everything you touch is holy and divine

King of the Universe blessed are You blessed are You

King of the Universe blessed are You blessed are You
King of the Universe blessed are You blessed are You
blessed are You blessed are You God

I sit in the cool of night, I listen for Your voice so quiet
I long to wait for Your word, for Your word
I sit on the sand and hear the ocean roar as you draw near
Your creation longs for Your return, Your return

You are my King my King
You are my King my King
You are my Love You are my Love

iStand with Israel - Spreading the Gospel

iStand with Israel - spreading the Gospel

One of the reasons we were so excited when we heard

we were going to be a part of the "iStand with Israel"

project is that we have a strong heart for Israel.

We believe we are in the 11th hour, and the world stage

is being set. Because of these near realities, we must

spread the Gospel everywhere including Israel.

Today in America, the church spends all kinds of crazy money

in Israel. I have seen everything from organizations buying

tanks for the Israeli army, to excavation trips, archeology trips,

bible tours, political groups, luxury vacations, and even sending

money to non Christian organizations.

Israel needs the Gospel just like everywhere else. Christians should

not be distracted with all these groups that are NOT centered on the

Gospel. No matter where your theology lies, we are called to all nations

this includes Israel.

I am asking and challenging believers to wake up concerning Israel.

Please support those that want to further the Gospel and minister in

Israel through mission trips and not just tourism. You can support

an Israeli church or a missionary.

"iStand with Israel" is a reminder to stand with Israel by

supporting the Gospel in Israel. We hope the iStand with Israel

CD ministers to your spirit. Put the booklet on your desk or on

your refrigerator to pray for those in Israel that their eyes

would be open to the reality of Yeshua their savior.

City of Peace multi-artist project 'IStand with Israel' Album Review (Breathecast)

 By Neshell Hogan, BREATHEcast reviewer

Modern worship artists come together for a greater cause creating, "iStand With Israel." This album is a musical movement to unite America with the nation of Israel and for Christians to come together in prayer for the salvation of Israel. Inspired by Genesis 12:3 ("I will bless those who bless you"), award winning singers from City of Peace Media, as well as worship artists from the land of Israel, bring their talents and passion together to create one original and inspiring album.

"King of the Universe," performed by American worship artist "House of Peace," symbolizes the beauty, majesty, and divine nature of God. This track has very powerful lyrics that are straight to the point and paint a vivid picture of worship for the listener. It takes us on a journey of how the singer finds God's presence in everything from the oceans to the rain and is awed by His greatness. Once you really get a grasp on the lyrics as a whole, it is a very humbling experience and reminder of God's wonder.

PREVIEW THE ALBUM in the video below.

"The Forgotten People," written in remembrance of Holocaust victims, is one track that is guaranteed to stand out. Coming in at nine minutes and twenty-six seconds, the song starts off with an audio recording of Hitler instructing his army. The track grabs your attention even before the actual song plays.  The lyrics are intense and do not shy away from even the most graphic detail. Even though they openly discuss Holocaust events, it's not meant to be a doom and gloom song. It's meant to show as a reminder of how tragic the Holocaust event is and to make sure history never repeats itself. The intensity of the song is meant to bring together nations and stand against injustice no matter the location. Even though this song is meant to give off a positive outlook towards change, the lyrics may be too much for some listeners.

Another beautiful song off of the album is "Garden of Secrets" performed by Shani Ferguson. Starting off as a hush toned piano ballad, it gives a sense of intimacy and even effects of eeriness evolving into operatic elements. The construction of the song itself is impressive and very moving. "In the garden we dance and He lifts up my face," the lyrics are personal, yet you can imagine yourself in the singer's shoes which give this song such an original style.

Lots of different sounds, vocals, lyrics, and perspectives from different nations make up this album. The creativity brought forth is reason enough to enjoy this album, but the purpose behind the album is what makes it so special and important to be heard. Anything that represents peace, prayer, and faith is worth listening to and these artists came together and did so wonderfully.
